Here at Secret Home Shopping.com we used to sell something else that is no longer available. I have been selling gems since 1982. Not online but as a hobby. I guess I am just a rockhound. Except for meteorites and fossils, gemstones would be one of the best things to add to a collection. Besides there are other things you could do with gems. You could make jewelry, donate to auctions, barter and give as is as a gift.

The number one question I get is "Since these gems are so cheap ARE THEY REAL?". Yes, they are real. One of the easiest ways to tell is the little defects real stones have. Air bubbles, color streaks, dark areas, cracks and chips are all very common in real stones. Fake stones are pretty defect free. Plus fake stones usually have perfect color among other things. Now on the other hand we have a couple cubic zirconium stones too. These are fake for sure but I add them sometimes if they are a great example of a cut or something. They would be labeled as such.
